Philadelphia Hospitality Inc. Honors Penn President Amy Gutmann

Philadelphia Hospitality Inc. will honor Penn President Amy Gutmann with the 2012 Vision for Philadelphia Award.

Philadelphia Hospitality Inc. is a non-profit organization that promotes the region as a world-class business and leisure destination for corporate, cultural, and professional groups. The organization created the Vision award in 1994 to honor an extraordinary individual or individuals whose leadership and accomplishments propel Philadelphia forward to a more vibrant future.

As this year’s honoree, Gutmann exemplifies this vision through her exceptional achievements in engaging with the local community, markedly broadening access to higher education and vigorously advancing Philadelphia’s reputation as a premier center of academic medicine. Previous award recipients have included former Pennsylvania Gov. Edward G. Rendell, Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter, H.F. (Gerry) Lenfest, Bill Hankowsky and other notable Philadelphians.
